Since its founding in 2010 by Mike Laist, TravelPledge has connected thousands of nonprofits with businesses willing to donate experiences and opportunities to auction off at fundraising events.
While TravelPledge specializes in helping nonprofits procure auction items, they also wanted to use their blog to provide their audience with a wide variety of advice related to fundraising events. However, finding friends in the industry who could contribute their event expertise to TravelPledge’s blog is easier said than done, as finding, coordinating, and publishing blog posts can be a time consuming task. Then, in April of 2021, TravelPledge joined the Nexus partnership program and began receiving the high-quality pieces of event related content for their blog they had been looking for from the Nexus team.

After officially beginning the partnership, the TravelPledge and Nexus Marketing teams worked together to design quarterly content calendars featuring guest authors from various organizations in the mission-driven space. All the articles TravelPledge received through the Nexus partnership in their first year focused on events. These articles have touched on a wide range of event essentials, including budgeting, digital engagement, event volunteers, registration, year-end fundraising, landing page optimization, and more.
As a Nexus partner, TravelPledge knows that they will receive insightful guest posts related to their blog without needing to source all the opportunities themselves.

Articles also include references and links to TravelPledge’s own blog posts, optimizing the website’s search engine authority.
