Go Camp Pro’s audience is specific. The Go Camp Pro blog posts have to be summer camp-related or they won’t be relevant to their organization’s audience. But that doesn’t mean that all of the content written by external contributors needs to be the same. During our early partnership conversations in March of 2021, the Go Camp Pro team let Nexus know that they did not want the same topics that were already being pitched to them everyday. They wanted unique and specific angles related to the interests of their camp audience. With 200+ organizations in the network to pull from, Nexus knew we could fill this need for innovative blog posts. By mid-March, Go Camp Pro had officially joined the Nexus partnership.

After signing the partnership agreement, Go Camp Pro began meeting with the Nexus team once a quarter to discuss upcoming blog content. During these calls we lined up blog posts with topics such as camp fundraising, camp waivers, camper retention, volunteer recruitment, and more. As the partnership continues, Go Camp Pro will continue to receive content from a variety of different thought-leaders written specifically for their blog and target audience.

Throughout their first year of the partnership, no two topics the Go Camp Pro team has received have been alike. All blogs have varied from the generic title the Go Camp Pro team was so tired of receiving when they first started with the partnership. The contributors have also continued to vary, allowing for the Go Camp Pro audience to benefit from the expertise of 9 different thought leaders over the course of their first year as a partner. Go Camp Pro has received and published this content without having to do any outreach, negotiation, or editing of their own. This has saved their team time while still ensuring their blog continues to feature content from a range of authors on various different camp related topics.
Nexus supplies our niche blog with great, relevant articles regularly. We’re grateful for their help in rounding out our content calendar and appreciate their support. Their willingness to work with us to laser-focus their articles to our audience has been wonderful.
